Though this is marketed as a children's book, it is truly a beautiful and brilliant book for people of all ages. What could be more important than the message of kindness and acceptance for all of us? And the author's way with words - a wonderfully crafted story with even more lovely whimsical artwork - makes it both enjoyable and inspiring to read again and again! Katie teaches us all to be a little kinder, a little gentler, with ourselves and others, and for that I thank her!
This is a fantastic book to read to all my "warrior" grandchildren. It inspires them to believe they can be anything they dream about and more importantly it teaches them to be kind to other kids, even if it is not the popular thing to do. It is sometimes hard to be a warrior when the majority of the other kids are bullying and your child or grandchild is the one who takes a stand and says STOP IT right now. Thanks for a great book with real life illustrations.
